Award for Waste Diversion

Solo, in conjunction with the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council, have been awarded the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) Leadership in the Public Sector Award for waste diversion. Council and Solo’s work to increase the diversion at the Council transfer stations from less than 20% to over 60% involved identifying new markets for waste streams, high customer service levels at the point of unloading by site visitors and upgrading of infrastructure and systems to process materials efficiently. Congratulations to our Mornington waste management team and the Council officers involved.
